MASH pamper evening.

Last night saw another successful evening at our latest pamper evening for MASH.

Medway asthma self help gives support to asthma sufferers and is a worthy charity we love to support. As well as supporting them, we get the chance to give some lovely ladies some gorgeous pampering!

Nail varnish a plenty and the UV lamp burning it's blue light for gels, Jasmine and I met some truly lovely ladies last night. 

There were Indian head, shiatsu massages up for tasters, some braved the threading stall too. 

We enjoyed the scent of some gorgeous sops stalls and the like. 

Although my head hardly looked up as we booked in 12 lovely ladies and 120 finger nails for the evening. 

The next pamper evening for MASH in Gillingham is on the 13th February. Just in time for valentines.

The difference between highlights and low lights

So many clients love to know what is the difference between highlights and low lights.

It can be confusing when you don't know what to ask your hair stylist for over the phone or worse still in the chair.

Let me clarify for you.


Generally,  
low lights means that the colour you are going to have your hair coloured is going to end up darker than your current colour.

Highlights means the hair is going to be turning lighter after the colour treatment.

So in a nutshell.

High means lighter

Low means darker

No need to fret now each time you visit the salon!

Oh and in case you weren't too sure,  these colours are generally added to little parts of the hair by using foil packages. Not always though,  depends what it is you are referring to.  Although highlights and lowlights does not relate to a full head colour.

Try this shampoo - you might be surprised at the amazing results!

Recently,  the local floods that we suffered this year have caused a problem with the water.

Now,  I don't know this to be a fact of course but so many of my clients have been telling me they are having trouble with their hair.

"My shampoo just isn't as good as it normally is."

Is  a typical statement I have found from people recently.  As different clients use different shampoo,  the only common denominator is the water.  So I suggest this:

Relieve yourself of some of the chemicals normally used on your hair and try the baby shampoo 'no more tears' formula.

Another lovely hairdresser friend of mine suggested this and I have tried it personally on my own hair.  Usually I struggle with my hair and find it unruly yet this baby shampoo has left it feeling and looking amazing.  To be honest, I have followed it up with an amazing conditioner from the professional hair range.

L'oreal professional conditioner. * which is a product I love.  No,  I'm in love with.  Totally.  These two products together are my must-haves for this summer to get your hair through any potential problems.  Give it a try,  you never know.  You might be surprised like I was.  Give it a shot!
